THE HUNT IS ON FOR SOLID GOLD, BURIED TREASURE WORTH £4,000

The hunt is on for a solid gold Queenie shell worth £4,000 buried somewhere on the Isle of Man. As part of this year’s Isle of Man Queenie Festival a Golden Queenie, moulded by Celtic Gold, has been hidden on the Island for intrepid treasure hunters to find.

What better way to spend a summer’s day than heading out on a real life treasure hunt? The adventure starts with solving the Queenie Conundrum contained within this year’s Queenie Festival Programme, available in retailers around the Island. Additional clues may be made available at a later date but everything you need to identify the location is included in the Queenie Conundrum.

Tim Croft, organizer of the Isle of Man Queenie Festival added, “We are really excited to have such an amazing prize on offer for the Queenie Conundrum treasure hunt. Not only will solving the puzzle and heading out to look for it be great fun, but the reward at the end is truly spectacular for one lucky person or family.”

The Isle of Man Queenie Festival is a week of events celebrating the sea and the Manx Queenie. Events include beach parties, live music, barbeques, sailing, kayaking, diving, fishing, Marine Day and more. Everyone is invited so pick up your event programme and take part.

The Golden Queenie will not be buried on any National Trust or private property.

Where do we get the clues from ? or is that another hunt !

  2. Nick says:

This is very like the golden egg that Cadburys did – brilliant idea – where is it?

  3. Queenieadmin says:

The Queenie Conundrum itself is in the Queenie Festival Programme which is available in newsagents and retailers around the Island. Happy treasure hunting!!

  4. nick says:

it says in the program, “the first person to ring the promotion number and quote the code will win.” What is the promotion number???

  5. Marineadmin says:

The conundrum will lead you to the buried treasure – ring the promotion number and quote the code to win the Golden Queenie. What else can we say – all will be revealed!

  6. Glenn says:

starting point is the fairy bridge

  7. Simon Webb says:

Have been to the first 3 places which i am pretty certain are correct and have found absolutely nothing. Can you tell me what exactly we are to look for at each point?

  8. Marineadmin says:

It is good that you are hot on the trail, but there is only one prize and one reward. The Conundrum can be solved as it stands – for the clever ones! Alternatively the additional clues can be used to guide you on your way.

  9. Marineadmin says:

The Queenie Master cannot reveal any locations along the treasure trail!

  10. Annie says:

Do you actually have to collect something from each location or just know where each location is? I went to Fairy Bridge and there is nothing there!

  11. LH says:

Has the Golden Queenie shell been found yet? We thought we’d found the spot that fitted ALL of the clues but it wasn’t there!

  12. Marineadmin says:

I am not aware that the Golden Queenie has been located.

  13. Marineadmin says:

It is good that you are on the Queenie trail, there is one prize which is the Golden Queenie!

  14. RS says:

    Hi

I have a disability and can not walk long distances would this treasure hunt be within my reach?

  15. Tomas says:

Have just been told that the Golden Queenie has been found? Is that true?

    If so…where was it found???

  16. Paul says:

when will the solution be published ?
is there a closing date ?
as a previous golden egg chaser I found it absorbing…..though rewardless..
thought the solution lay around cattle grids in Druidale so there is no way I’m going to solve this so you cansafely divulge the answer to me and I won’t tell a sole…
    Congratulations on organising the competition.

Are there going to be any more clues? I could do with all the help I can get lol

  19. JH says:

Does the fact that there’s no clue today mean that it’s been found?

  20. Shannon Hogan says:

Heyy , Im Just Wondering When Does The Comp. End ? And Has It Been Found Yet ?

  21. Marineadmin says:

The Golden Queneie has not been found as far as we are aware!

  22. Marineadmin says:

The last of the clues is clue number 6, combine this with the conundrum in the programme and you will have more than enough to find the Golden Queenie!

  23. Marineadmin says:

If and when the Golden Queenie is found we will reveal the trail and location in the local press and on the website. The last of the extra clues was today, combine this with the Conundrum in the programme and you will have all you need to locate the treasure!

  24. Marineadmin says:

As far as I am aware the Golden Queenie has not been found. I do not know the location of it.

  25. Marineadmin says:

I don’t know, I guess it would depend on what is a long distance?

  26. Marineadmin says:

The competition ends when the Golden Queenie has been found!

  27. Shannon Hogan says:

Ok ,Thanks . How Do You Get Hold Of Clue Number 6 ?

  28. LH says:

Is the golden Queenie still out there? My wife and I have been out digging earlier in the week and we’re not getting anywhere! Is there going to be another clue if it’s not found soon?

  29. linda says:

We have just heard that the Queenie has been found on Port St Mary beach. Is this right or yet another ‘red herring’ !!!!

  30. Marineadmin says:

So far the Golden Queenie has not been found. Further clues MAY be released if the Golden Queenie is not claimed.

  31. Marineadmin says:

As far as we are aware the Golden Queenie is still to be found.

  32. Phil Boothby says:

Congratulations to the girl that found the queenie on Mortuary beach. I was there so I know it has been found. Both me, my daughter and grandchildren are sad we did not find it, however the girl had been very good to us over the last few days sharing clues and working along side us on many occasions I know she worked really hard to find it.

Thanks for the competition, but I don’t think my nerves can stand another one!

  33. Ricko says:

I’ve just been looking down there too, loads of holes had been dug by someone! Ah well… maybe next year.

  34. Annie says:

now it has been found is the whole conundrum going to be explained?!

  35. Clare Bettison says:

We have been waiting with anticipation to find out how the clues all worked – can you please put us out of our misery…..or has it been published somewhere else. We fell like we had solved the clues except the last one which was the actual location!!!!
    Thanks
