Public Queenie (Queen Scallop) Recipe Competition

We would like you to give us your own interpretation on a Queenie dish in order to show the versatility of this fantastic Manx produce. The recipe competition will be judged by TV celebrity food lovers the Hairy Bikers, Si King & Dave Myers with assistance from a panel of local experts. A short list of three finalists will be announced following all entries being received and judged, with the winning dish being announced at the finale to the Queenie Festival at the Marine Day ‘A Festival of Sea’ taking place at the Port St Mary Quay on the 9th August between 11am - 5pm.

The winner of the public Queenie recipe competition will win a personalised trophy and £100 worth of seafood from Paddy’s Market!

By promoting local Manx Queenies on your menus and submitting an entry in to our hospitality Queenie recipe competition, you will not only be helping towards what we hope will become an annual festival, but also raising your own profile. In return for submitting a recipe in to our competition and placing this on your menu for the duration of Queenie Festival we will ensure that you are supported through our extensive promotion of the event.
